Vientos del Cauca premieres on national television
Vientos del Cauca, a documentary series that explores the origins, essence, and social and cultural environments of the flute and drum music of the Cauca department, will premiere on Teleantioquia this October 16th and 17th at 9 pm.
This documentary series, filmed in the municipalities of Silvia, Puracé, and Guapi, follows Paula, a chirimía flautist who questions the music's origin. She talks with teachers and masters from these territories about what the music is, its history, and what it represents for them, their communities, and their cultures.
This documentary series was funded with resources from the **Abre Cámara grant** from the **Ministry of ICT** (Ministerio TIC) in **2023**. It was produced by **Makhino Audiovisual Production Company** under the direction of **Daniel Egas**.
